Why This Reference Exists
Maryland custody information is divided among several agencies. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office keeps county booking and final release material. Maryland DPSCS operates a current incarcerated-individual locator, but it removes people who are no longer in custody. The Maryland Parole Commission and Division of Parole and Probation handle different parts of post-release supervision. Federal sentenced-custody results belong to the Bureau of Prisons. We organize these official routes, their limits, and the request steps that apply after a person leaves a live roster.
What the Pages Provide
The site separates current custody, release confirmation, and supervision so one system is not mistaken for another.

- Records guidance identifies the official request channel for a county release sheet or booking photograph and explains that fees and response time depend on the custodian.
